Laurin Maritime has a long term commitment to employing Swedish junior and senior officers onboard our managed vessels. This helps to create consistency within the company.

We welcome Swedish junior officers and cadets to our ships. This is a very good way of joining our company and getting experience. Around 20 students from the maritime universities at Chalmers and Kalmar do their training onboard Laurin Maritime’s vessels each year.

Sailing periods for Swedish officers are between eight to eleven weeks. The planning of the relief periods is done by the shipboard management team.

We work together with our employees in a long term perspective. Some of our Swedish officers have been with us for 25 years.
