Laurin Maritime recruits young ambitious officers and cadets from the nautical schools in Sweden and on the Philippines and encourages them to widen their knowledge through systematic training. Promising candidates aiming for senior officer positions are supported in their studies and teamed up with experienced senior officers to provide a stable team onboard. Laurin Maritime offers the possibility to rotate between its ships in order to enhance the experience of the officers and crew.
The bulk of Laurin Maritime’s senior officers are Swedish while Filipino junior officers and ratings constitute the majority of the balance of the crews. The company also recruits officers and crew from Eastern Europe and Mexico.

Laurin Maritime delegates the daily management of the respective ship to its Masters and Chief Engineers, who form Shipboard Management Teams. It is important that all applicants for positions within Laurin Maritime are interested in the way of working with the Shipboard Management System.
